In a nutshell
Wild Swan Living is part of a growing rewilding movement placing the human relationship with life at the centre of our experience. Through immersive experiences, classes and activities, storytelling, art and performance we seek to challenge the current, predominate narrative that places humans as separate and superior to an unconscious planet.
Through our work we show you that Life is constantly communicating with us and that each of us has a place and purpose within a conscious, global, diverse Earth community.
Now more than ever we need to examine how we live and make some changes. These changes are not limited to practical things but need to be made within our own minds and spirits, our relationships with each other and the landscape.
We seek to inspire people to rethink the ideas we have about who we are as human beings on a living, conscious planet. And then to experience what it feels like to be a Wild Human, communicating directly with Life, moment to moment. That is where the magic happens.
There is so much more to us all than meets the eye.
Let’s find out how much more and what type of world we can create together.
A bit about me.

Vanessa has a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London, specialising in dance theatre, Chinese and Japanese theatre and Latin American sacred performance, all of which are movement based. As a practitioner, choreographer, director and performer she has always been fascinated by the stories that come from within, which led her into somatic healing work.

Since childhood Vanessa was a visionary, experiencing dreams, visions and strange experiences that often scared her as child. Having no framework within which to make sense of these experiences she repressed them as best she could until she got older and began to face her fears. Then they came flooding back in full force.

She has since been on a conscious and active spiritual journey since 2005, always seeking to discover our full potential as human beings, expressions of One consciousness. Throughout Vanessa's journey over the years, her greatest learning has come directly from Source, through a variety of surprising ways. Although many times she asked for a human teacher and guide, Spirit kept directing her to learn directly from life itself, learning to trust her inner knowing and strengthen her spiritual self.
In 2007 she moved to Brazil and worked with the Huni Kuin, apprenticing with Ayahuasca and other plant medicines. This lasted almost three years and transformed her life in many ways. Since then, she has continued to work with plants as teachers, as well as a variety of other practices and tools that allow for us to expand our awareness of who we are and how we engage with reality.
She guides people into nature to learn how to listen to the spirit that moves within all things that they too can trust their inner knowing and the messages they receive. She believes everyone can be a visionary. Vanessa offers her experience as a guide and mentor for others on their spiritual journeys. Her unique background allows her to see straight to who you are and what you need on your journey to evolve and grow, without being encumbered by dogma or traditions. She gently supports you without being explicit so that you too can discover the master within you.

As a teacher of various performance art disciplines Vanessa has, over time, developed her own fusion of body awareness work that weaves together the physical and spiritual into a holistic practice.

Her experiences in the Brazilian forest gave her a passion for bush skills and earth-based living, something she is passionate about sharing, whether through formal forest school classes or rewilding adventures. She believes that much of the dis-ease in the world today stems from our disconnection to our wild self and place as part of a vibrant and living earth.

Vanessa now lives in the French Pyrenees with her son, dog and cats.
