Meditation & Drum journeying
What is Drum Journeying?

Drum journeying is a form of communication with the spirit world or other dimensions of consciousness.
Through a combination of breathing techniques, visualisation and sound medicine (the vibration of the drum) your consciousness can journey to other realms where you can receive insight and guidance from spirit guides, connect with your inner knowing, and perform healings.

Like all things it takes practice. We must allow for our bodies to find the pathways back to this form of communication. Our minds need to remember how to use our imaginations, for it is this ability to see images in our minds that allows the spirit world to communicate with us. They do not use words but images, signs, symbols and feelings, this is the lost language we had at birth and one it's time to regain.
What's involved?

You lie down comfortably, relax and I guide you through breathing exercises that prepare your physical mind to allow for your spiritual mind to come forward. It is there within all of us but the distractions of the physical world mean we hardly notice it exists.
We will then work on developing your starting point visualisation that will act as a trigger for you to begin seeing with your spiritual mind. This is a place that you see in your imagination, which is the doorway you will go through to start your journey.
We will come back to these visualisations in other sessions to build on details in your images, making the experience stronger and clearer. This also strengthens your connection with your trigger or doorway into the spirit world, making it easier to access over time.
Once your trigger is strong in your mind you will find you can enter the different realms at will, that you can walk both in flesh and in spirit. This is the goal. But first we begin with practice.
The vibration of the drum is a powerful tool to unlock your potential to journey in the spirit world. It is the third ingredient in this form of journeying.
Eventually we shouldn't need any triggers at all but perhaps will walk in flesh and spirit always.

Meditation with frequencies - what's that?
​
Some people find the drum too powerful at first and so I also use frequency music as we practice, especially in the beginning, to allow for the pathways to develop in a gentle, soothing way.
With all the stress people are experiencing in our modern lives, taking time out to reset the nervous system and relax the body and mind is crucial. The goal and outcome is the same, we just use different forms of sound to help us get there.
The goal with mediation is not oblivion, or purely stress reduction (although that is a perk) but to discover the deeper layers of our being, eventually coming to profoundly know and embody our selves as source.
How and when?

I hold a meditation group on Tuesdays at 7pm at my house. This is an open group and you are free to come when you can or not.
